Join us for a workshop designed specifically for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women! This interactive session will provide a safe and supportive environment to discuss, explore and learn about the unique challenges and opportunities that come with this stage of life. Spring Break is just around the corner! Get ready to transform your body and mind with this 6-week transformation challenge! Say goodbye to stubborn inches and hello to a healthier, happier you. You’ll be sure to lose some weight during this challenge, while also learning how to make sustainable changes to your eating habits and mindset. Each session will consist of a teaching segment and a workout segment. Here are some highlights of what is included in this challenge: Pump Up Your Metabolism Guide; Customized Calorie/Macro Goals; Strength Training Workouts; Menu Planning Tips/Recipes; Group Discussions and more! So, throw on your comfiest workout gear and get ready to become a stronger, fitter you.

12 Yr Olds-Adults
If you love the benefits of cross training and enjoy a challenge, this one's for you! Choose between one of the four triathlon distance options below and then complete those distances in small chunks between Feb 24 and Mar 28 (you can complete those distances at Zeeland Recreation or elsewhere). Challengers will receive a mileage log and may begin logging their mileage on Feb 24. Those who complete their mileage distances will be entered into a raffle for a one month Ultimate Membership ($50 value) OR a $50 gift card to a store of your choice! Registration includes a t-shirt.

- Sprint: 3.1-mi run/walk, 13.2-mi bike, 1/2-mi swim
- Team Relay: Register as a team of 2 or 3 members max and complete the challenge of your choice
zeeland zoom - couch to 5k
12 Yr Olds-Adults
Want to feel great and boost your energy? Join us for this 9-week training program! Participants will train 3x per week (1x as a group and 2x on their own). All group training sessions will be led by Julie Lamer, a certified trainer with over 35 years of running experience. Julie will provide you with proper warm up/cool down techniques, valuable information on correct form and help you accomplish your goals! The training program will conclude with the group participating in the Zeeland Zoom 5k on Tue, June 24! Fee includes all training sessions, the race registration fee and race t-shirt. NUTRITION COACHING
12 Yr Olds-Adults
It’s time to improve your health and say good-bye to dieting for good! Let our coaches’ help you learn how to nurture good relationships with food and create a balanced healthy lifestyle. We will help you evaluate how your diet can contribute to a healthier lifestyle whether that is losing weight, building lean muscle, gaining energy, targeting health concerns, or developing life-changing habits by giving you support, accountability and direction! Whatever your goals, we will help you get there!
INITIAL EVALUATION (90 minutes): We will take an in depth look at your daily practices to establish an important baseline. We will then help you define your health and nutritional goals and identify lifestyle habits and eating behaviors that require change.
SUPPORT SESSIONS (60 minutes each): On-going support and reinforcement of your habits. Your nutritional strategy will be continuously assessed and revised to best support your wellness goals.

100 Mile Swim Club
8 Yr Olds-Adults
Want to get in great shape? Become a part of the Zeeland Recreation “100 Mile Swim Club” by swimming 100 miles in 12 months! Participants will keep track of your miles after each lap swim or water fitness workout on the tracking sheet that will be located on our pool deck at Zeeland Recreation pools. You’ll then be able to follow your progress through our monthly postings. If you hit your goal you will not only be feeling and looking great, but you’ll also receive a Zeeland Recreation towel and a 100-Mile Club decal sticker to show off your achievement! Start any time of the year! Simply stop in our fitness center to get started! All swim styles and techniques are welcome.

- Distance Guidelines:
- 100 miles = 165,000 yards or 3,300 laps
- 1 mile + 1,650 yards, 66 lengths or 33 laps
- Length = One end of the pool to the other end (25 yards)
- Lap = Down and back (50 yards)
- 2 miles a week = 100 miles in 50 weeks
- 3 miles a week = 100 miles in 33 weeks
- 1 mile a day x 5 days a week = 100 miles in 20 weeks
