What is Venture Academy?

Venture Academy (VA) is a blended non-traditional school serving the needs of a diverse population at Zeeland Public Schools. The small setting of Venture Academy provides a more individualized approach to academic and social/emotional needs. VA courses are delivered in an online format via Edgenuity software and may be supplemented with teacher-led workshops to replace or enhance content from online learning. Students typically complete 2-3 courses every six weeks; consequently, students who are credit deficient may choose to work at a faster pace to fulfill their graduation requirements.

Students in the program have the option to earn an 18 credit hour Michigan Merit Curriculum diploma or a 22 credit hour Zeeland Public Schools diploma.
