Curriculum

Welcome to ZPS!

Our K-12 curriculum, which places top priority on the core content areas of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, is interwoven with the teaching of important character traits. Our mission of Safe, Valued, Loved, & Learning for Life is at the heart of our work.

At ZPS, we truly value the whole child and provide opportunities for learning about academic content, social emotional well-being, as well as the arts. Our teachers collaborate regularly to review and refine our curriculum. Our goal is to to maintain consistent experiences between classrooms and between buildings where students can achieve at their highest potential. When collaborating on curriculum, teachers focus on the four questions from the work on Professional Learning Communities

  • What do we want our students to know and be able to do?

  • How will we measure student progress?

  • What will we do if our students are not successful?

  • What will we do if our students already know the material?

We invite you to learn about the various programs we offer at ZPS and encourage you to speak with us to learn more.
