Scholarships

Listed below are local or other scholarship opportunities that the counseling office is made aware of.  There are many more scholarships out there – they just require some extra work to seek them out.  Students are encouraged to visit www.fastweb.com and bigfuture.collegeboard.org to research two of the largest, most reputable, and free online scholarship search engines.  Please do not ever pay a fee to apply for a scholarship.  The legitimate ones are completely free.

LMCU Lloyd F. Hutt ScholarshipAny Michigan HS senior who plans to enroll in college, university, trade school or other form of higher education in the next academic year.  Applicants must write an essay on a prescribed topic.

Hope College Distinguished Artist AwardHope honors talented artists in the areas of creative writing, dance, music, theater and the visual arts. You’ll need to audition or submit a portfolio. Most Distinguished Artist Awards (DAAs) can be combined with an academic scholarship.
